APPLE BUTTER ROAST CHICKEN

This apple butter roast chicken is my go-to when I want something easy but still feels special. It’s sweet, savory, and ridiculously good. You get crispy skin, tender meat, and that perfect glaze that makes you want to lick the plate. Enjoy this beautiful roast chicken for Thanksgiving or any fall dinner!

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Whole Chicken
- 4 Tablespoons Musselmans Apple Butter
- 1 Tablespoon White Vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper
- Cayenne Pepper
- Paprika
- Garlic Powder
- Thyme
- Cholula Hot Sauce
- 5 Garlic Cloves
- 1 Apple for Stuffing
- Rosemary for Stuffing
- Juice of 1/2 Lemon for Garnish

DIRECTIONS:
1.) Clean the roast chicken and pat dry.
2.) Add sharp gashes to parts of the chicken to allow the marinade to seep in.
3.) For the marinade, combine 4 tablespoons of Musselmans Apple Butter, 1 Tablespoon of White Vinegar, 2 Tablespoons of Salt, 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper, 2 Tablespoons of Paprika, 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder, Cholula Hot Sauce to taste, Cayenne Pepper to taste, chopped thyme and chopped garlic. Mix the marinade and spread onto the chicken liberally.
4.) Stuff the chicken with large slices of 1 one apple and sprigs of rosemary.
5.) Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 12 hours. Best overnight in the fridge.
6.) Once ready, bake the chicken at 410 Degrees Fareinheight for 1 hour or until cooked through.
7.) Once the chicken is ready, turn the chicken on low broil setting and watch carefully to reach the desired crisp texture you are looking for,
8.) Remove from the oven and baste the chicken with its remaining juices. Squeeze half a lemon juice on the chicken, serve with your desired side dishes and enjoy.
