PUFF PASTRY PLUM TART

These puff pastry plum tarts are so easy to make and delicious to eat during the fall time. The best time to eat these tasty treats is served warm with a cup of chai or coffee. Are you not feeling the plums? You can easily swap the ingredients out with a fall fruit of your choice. This recipe uses simple ingredients, is delicious, and is easily customizable to your liking.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Squared Puff Pastry Sheets
  • Fresh Plums
  • Cinnamon
  • Egg Wash
  • Raw Honey
  • Lime
  • Powdered Sugar

DIRECTIONS:

1.) Follow the packet instructions and thaw the puff pastry accordingly.

2.) Preheat the oven to 400 Degrees Farenheight. Line one baking tray with parchment paper or spray the tray with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.

3.) Slice the fresh plums and place into a bowl. Add one tablespoon of cinnamon, the juice of half a lime, and 2 tablespoons of raw honey. Gently mix until incorporated.

4.) Brush each squared puff pastry sheet with egg wash. Though it is not necessary, the egg wash will help the pastry reach a nice golden shine.

6.) Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the pastry are puffed and golden. Remove from the oven, and while the pastries are still warm, lightly dust the pastries with powdered sugar. Serve immediately while warm and enjoy!
