ROASTED PEPPER RELISH

This Roasted Red Pepper Relish is a tasty condiment that can be used on burgers, hot dogs, noodles, rice… you name it! The Relish is sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy. The roasted peppers provide a deep fragrant flavor that can totally level up your summer meals!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 Teaspoons of Vinegar
  • 1 Roasted Red Pepper
  • 1 Jalapeno
  • 1/2 Red Onion
  • 2 Habanero Peppers
  • 4 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Ketchup
  • 4 Tablespoons of Orange Marmalade
  • 10 Mustard Seeds
  • 2 Peppercorns

DIRECTIONS:

1.) Roast all the veggies on a stove top flame to your liking. After the peppers have been roasted, de-skin the blackened sections of the peppers.

2.) Use a chopper to finely dice all veggies evenly. If you do not have a chopper available, feel free to dice all the veggies by hand. Remember to use food safe gloves to protect your hands from the spices. Note: For a mild relish, be sure to de-seed the habanero and jalapenos, keeping in mind that the sugars will naturally sweeten the relish.

3.) Add in all the ingredients into a stainless steel small pot. Mix until combined.

4.) Allow the relish to simmer on a low flame until the relish is reduced down to your preference.

5.) Cover and refrigerate. The Roasted Red Pepper Relish can be served as a condiment on hot dogs, burgers, noodles, rice or any meal you prefer!
