ROASTED PEPPER RELISH
Prep Time: 5 Minutes | Cook Time: 10 Minutes |
INGREDIENTS:
- 6 Teaspoons of Vinegar
- 1 Roasted Red Pepper
- 1 Jalapeno
- 1/2 Red Onion
- 2 Habanero Peppers
- 4 Garlic Cloves
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Ketchup
- 4 Tablespoons of Orange Marmalade
- 10 Mustard Seeds
- 2 Peppercorns
DIRECTIONS:
1.) Roast all the veggies on a stove top flame to your liking. After the peppers have been roasted, de-skin the blackened sections of the peppers.
2.) Use a chopper to finely dice all veggies evenly. If you do not have a chopper available, feel free to dice all the veggies by hand. Remember to use food safe gloves to protect your hands from the spices. Note: For a mild relish, be sure to de-seed the habanero and jalapenos, keeping in mind that the sugars will naturally sweeten the relish.
3.) Add in all the ingredients into a stainless steel small pot. Mix until combined.
4.) Allow the relish to simmer on a low flame until the relish is reduced down to your preference.
5.) Cover and refrigerate. The Roasted Red Pepper Relish can be served as a condiment on hot dogs, burgers, noodles, rice or any meal you prefer!
