SMOKED SALMON TART

This smoked salmon is the perfect breakfast meal that will taste just as amazing as it looks! This sesame crusted tart is layered with cream cheese and topped with ribbons of smoked salmon and cucumber salad. Light, healthy, and delicious!

INGREDEIENTS:

  • 1 Avocado
  • Scallions
CRUST INGREDIENTS
  • Puff Pastry Sheet
  • Egg Wash
  • Dried Minced Onion
  • White Sesame Seeds
  • Black Sesame Seeds
  • Sea Salt
CUCUMBER SALAD
  • 1 English Cucumber
  • 1 Teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Vinegar
  • Sea Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Lemon Juice

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.) Preheat the oven to 400 Degrees F. Line the tart pan with parchment paper.
2.) Place a sheet of puff pastry on the tart pan. Poke holes on the center of the tart to avoid the pastry from puffing in the center. Brush the tart with egg wash.
3.) season the tart crust with white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, garlic chips, dried minced onion, and sea salt.
4.) Bake the tart pan for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
5.) Remove the tart from the oven and allow to cool. Use room temperature cream cheese and make sure to mix until cream cheese is soft and spreadable. Spread the cream cheese on the center of the tart.

6.) In the meantime, use a small bowl to make the dressing for the cucumber salad. Mix half the lemon juice, one teaspoon of vinegar, one teaspoon, and sesame oil. Season with salt and black pepper until emulsified. I used a Spiralizer to slice the cucumbers. If that is not available, feel free to slice cucumbers with a knife.

7.) Layer the avocado on top of the cream cheese.

8.) Add ribbons of smoked salmon. Add the cucumber salad on top. Sprinkle with scallions and serve!
